Proper Steps for Cleansing & Detox
Every day we're exposed to environmental toxins: in the air we breathe, the water we drink and the foods we eat. Even our bodies and
bacteria in our intestines produce toxic substances.
How do we rid our selves of these impurities? The body has effective means to purify itself. But these
systems can become overloaded and stressed. That's why it's wise to periodically take
cleansing & detox supplements.
If done properly, such a program restores balance. As a result you feel healthy, refreshed and energized. Since there are so many detox products out there (some good and some bad), here are few tips for getting the best results.
1. Whole Body Detox - Make sure there's an initial formula that supports the
cleansing of multiple body systems, including the bloodstream, gall bladder, liver, lymphatic
system, skin and urinary tract. Key ingredients include
artichoke, turmeric and dandelion. But the most important component is an easily dissolved, enhanced absorption milk
thistle extract to aid the liver.
2. Toxin Capture -
An effective whole body detox will send toxins to the
intestines through increased bile flow. Now you need a multiple fiber formula to capture toxins in the gut and transport them to the bowel. Look for psyllium, oat bran, guar gum, fruit pectin, FOS and
flaxseed fiber in this formula.
3. Digestive Sweep -
With toxins now in bowel they're ready to be
eliminated. To encourage proper bowel movements, a final formula with either Magnesium hydroxide or Cascara sagrada
works best. The mineral route gently draws water into intestine creating pressure
and prompt bowel cleaning.
Cascara may be better for individuals needing extra help, as it actually stimulates intestinal
muscles to cleanse the bowel. A thorough cleansing program should take about two
weeks from start to finish.
